Editor - Spell checking
This section allows you to configure the settings for the spell checking process within the note editor.
If the Skip words with digits checkbox is enabled, the spell checker will ignore words containing digits, such as "word123", "111word", "one111one", etc.
OutWiker can use multiple dictionaries simultaneously for spell checking. A word is considered correct if it is found in at least one of the active dictionaries. In the Dictionaries in use list, you can select which dictionaries to use for real-time spell checking. Note that using many dictionaries at once may affect editor performance when handling large amounts of text.
Among the available dictionaries, there is a special html dictionary that contains HTML tag names.
The dictionaries used by OutWiker are located in the spell folder within the configuration directories. OutWiker uses the LibreOffice dictionary format for the hunspell engine. You can find additional dictionaries at this link and copy them into the spell folder.
The User dictionary field lists words that have been added by the user. Words are added to this list via the "Add to dictionary" context menu item when right-clicking a misspelled word in the editor. In this settings section, you can also manually add or remove words to be treated as correct. Each word must be entered on a new line.
